I (Riley) was stoked to sit down with Douglas Weber, the mastermind behind Weber Workshops, a brand known for designing some of the most beautiful and well-engineered coffee equipment out there. From the EG-1 grinder to the Blind Shaker, Weber products are built to last and enhance the coffee experience.

Douglas shares his journey from working at Apple as a product designer to launching a coffee-focused company with a mission to make high-end tools that are simple, durable, and a joy to use. We dive into his approach to product design, why he believes in fixing rather than replacing, and how consumerism needs to shift towards quality over disposability.

We also talk about his time opening cafés in Japan and how Weber Workshops develops new products. Enjoy!
